WHAT IS WORLDPETNET?

WorldPetNet is the first and only worldwide, modern platform to maintain a registry of microchipped pets, available to everyone. The platform's objective is to create a registry and present data of all microchip numbers from all databases around the world. This way, microchipped pets will have a better chance of being found by their owners, regardless of where they are in the world, or in which country's pet database they are registered. WorldPetNet worldwide database gives your dog or cat real security, and a chance to find their way home if they go missing. Everything we do makes it easier, quicker and more likely that a found microchipped pet does not become a stray or spend their life in an animal shelter.

WE HELP LOST PETS RETURN HOME SAFELY

HOW DOES WORLDPETNET WORK?

WorldPetNet allows for a search for a specific microchip number among all the available local and national databases, and quickly helps find a lost pet's owner. Just type in the microchip number and you will receive detailed information regarding the registry into which the pet has been entered. Next, go to the specific database you have found, type in the number and find the owner's information. Thanks to the fact that WPN maintains a registry and presentation of data of all the microchips around the world, you can save your time, because you do not have to search for owner information in multiple registries, private and community-run, in multiple local national databases, in multiple countries. All the necessary information regarding the pet's location and registry can be found in one place. Simple, quick and convenient.

HOW TO JOIN WPN?

If you are not indifferent to the fate of lost pets, and you don't want them to become stray, be stolen or spend their life in an animal shelter instead of returning to their owner, microchip and register your pet in WPN or submit a database of registered pets to WPN. How to do it?

STEP ONE

Implant your pet with a special, miniature device - a microchip, containing in its memory a unique identification number. Implanting a microchip is a very simple, 100% safe and painless procedure, which can be done in almost every veterinarian's office. A microchip is the most effective and tested solution to protect a pet in case it gets lost, which will help in finding it. Don't wait! Your pet can go missing any moment!

STEP TWO

You must know that a microchip only contains an identification number (between 9 and 15 digits). It does not contain your address or telephone number. For the lost pet to find its home, your information should be registered in a local, national pet database. Make sure your veterinarian does it, or do it yourself. The information, microchip number + your pet's breed will be transferred to WPN as soon as the veterinarian completes the paperwork. An unregistered microchip is useless.

STEP THREE

There are multiple, dispersed pet databases around the world. Each country has its own databases. It is possible that the searched number simply does not exist in a specific registry, and no amount of goodwill will help in reaching out to the owner. In order to do that, you would have to search through all the databases, one by one. Luckily, there is a place which gathers, registers and unifies data from all the databases around the world. Enter your pet into the World Pet Registry or ask your veterinarian to register or submit the database they use into the Registry.

MICROCHIP AND REGISTER YOUR PETS; IT'S NOT A FAD, IT'S BEING SMART

WHY IS MICROCHIPPING PETS WORTH IT?

MICROCHIPPING IS THE BEST SOLUTION TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PET'S SAFETY

Are you afraid that your beloved cat or dog might go missing? Microchip it and register at WorldPetNet, the only worldwide database collecting all the databases of microchipped pets in one place.

PRACTICAL AND EFFECTIVE SOLUTION

At WorldPetNet, you can register your pet's microchip number quickly, simply and conveniently. The number will be available to all the users around the world. This way, if your pet goes missing, you can increase the chance of finding it, wherever it may be. Remember to update the entered information.

ANIMAL SAFETY

Cats like to wander around, and dogs tend to get lost while chasing other animals. Microchipping and registering your pet in WPN is the best way to take care of your pet's safety and ensure its safe way back home, if it ever gets lost. Your cat or dog cannot talk, so it cannot give its address to anyone. However, it will have a microchip registered in the WPN database, which will make finding you much easier. Simple as that!

QUICK ACTION

We help lost pets find their owners quickly and efficiently by searching all the available databases of microchipped animals around the world. Reading a microchip number, identifying the pet and its owner, is possible with a special scanner. It can be done by any animal shelter, representatives of PROANIMAL organisation, local administration authorities, veterinarians, etc. Ask your veterinarian to check the pet's microchip during periodic check-ups.

OBLIGATORY MICROCHIPPING

Taking your pet on a trip abroad? Implanting a microchip is mandatory for your cat or dog to be issued a passport and be able to travel with you around the European Union and the whole world. Moreover, equip your pet with additional forms of identification, such as collar with an imprint or a tag with information on where the pet is registered.

PROTECTION FROM GETTING LOST

Have a pedigree cat or dog? Implanting a microchip and registering in WorldPetNet will protect pedigree pets from being stolen (it is much more difficult to sell a registered animal with a microchip).

HOW TO PROCEED IF A PET IS NOT IN WPN??

YOUR PEY ALREADY HAS A MICROCHIP, BUT IT IS NOT IN WORLDPETNET DATABASE?

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO.

1.          Ask you local national microchipped pet database for registration.

If you were unsuccessful in finding your microchipped pet in the registry of WorldPetNet worldwide database - contact a local database in your country and notify them to forward the microchip numbers of registered pets to the general WPN registry. This will provide a quick and easy way of reaching a pet's owner. Providing data (microchip number + pet's species) is very easy for them and free of charge. An e-mail from you might be all the incentive they need for taking action.

2.          Another way of entering a pet into the WorldPetNet database is to set up an individual pet owner account and register your pet personally in the WPN database registry. This type of account is subject to a fee, so that we can provide you with the top level data security. All data saved in WorldPetNet is fully secured and protected with an SSL certificate at the highest security level available, used by banking systems. Within a few moments, you will register your pet in the WPN database and receive an e-mail with confirmation and a certificate confirming the registration.

3.          Register your pet in the pet database in your country.

Another, and a very popular way of registering in WPN is to make an entry via one of the local pet databases available in your country. The data will be transferred between the national and WPN database automatically. Your pet's information in WorldPetNet can also be entered at the moment of adopting the pet from animal shelter, during registration of the pet at your veterinarian's, through the Kennel Club or Feline Association during a review of new litter.
